Plummer block housings
Plummer block housings are ready-to-assemble units that are usually mounted upright on a mounting surface.
They are mainly used for the installation of self-aligning ball bearings and spherical roller bearings.
Most plummer block housings are made of gray cast iron, cast steel or sheet steel, and some are provided with a lubrication hole, which makes maintenance quick and easy.
A distinction is made between split and unsplit plummer block housings.
Split plummer block housings are mostly used for bearing stanchions with spherical roller bearings, barrel roller bearings and self-aligning ball bearings.
Unsplit plummer block housings, on the other hand, are often intended for radial insert ball bearings (Y-bearings).
